My screen is black or doesn't show
Screen Recording access is missing, or macOS hasn't applied it yet. Allow Screen Motion in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording, then quit and reopen Screen Motion.
No sound from my microphone
Check that a microphone is chosen on the recorder bar and that its level bars move. If Screen Motion says access is missing, allow it in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.
Pressed keys aren't recorded
Showing keys needs Accessibility access. Allow Screen Motion in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility, then choose Shortcuts only or Shortcuts and typing again.
A window isn't in the list
Only titled windows of ordinary apps are listed, and very small windows are left out. Choose Refresh List, or record the Display or an Area instead.
My iPhone doesn't appear
Connect it with a cable, unlock it, and wait a few seconds. Allow Camera access if asked.
Captions won't generate
Allow Speech Recognition for Screen Motion in System Settings → Privacy & Security. If a language isn't available on your Mac, its audio is sent to Apple instead, which needs an internet connection.
Export says I need a licence
See Activating Screen Motion. If you already activated, open the Licence window and check its status. See Managing your licence.
