Choose an option under Show pressed keys in the recorder bar's gear menu:
- Don't show keys, the default.
- Shortcuts only records shortcuts that use ⌘, ⌃ or ⌥. Ordinary typing is noted only as a moment in time, so you can speed it up later. What you type is never stored.
- Shortcuts and typing also records the characters you type, and shows them as a line of text.
Both options need Accessibility access. If it's missing, Screen Motion tells you and offers Open Settings. Allow Screen Motion there, then choose the option again.
