Glass lens

Magnify one detail and keep the rest of the screen in view.

A glass lens is a round magnifier that grows over what you're pointing at, then shrinks away. Unlike a zoom, the rest of the screen stays where it is, so viewers keep their bearings.

  • Press G to add one at the playhead. If a zoom is already there, it becomes a glass lens.
  • Or select any zoom and choose Glass lens under Style.

The lens follows your pointer, or points at a fixed spot in Manual, just like a zoom. Its Level sets how much it magnifies. On the timeline, its bar reads Glass.
