Choosing

  • For social media: MP4, 1080p, 60 fps, Social Media, H.264. It plays everywhere.
  • For websites and docs: Web, or Web (Low) for long videos and slow connections.
  • Smaller files: HEVC is about the same quality at a smaller size, and plays on Apple devices and most modern browsers.
  • Big screens and editing elsewhere: 4K at Studio quality.
  • GIF: for short loops in docs and chats. GIFs have no sound, are limited to 1080p at 30 fps, and get large quickly.

Compression changes the file's size, not how long the export takes. Sound is exported as AAC at 48 kHz, in stereo. Screen Motion remembers your last settings.
